Fishing

Floating down the Bighorn River in a McKenzie style drift boat is one of the most pleasurable and relaxing experiences you will ever have. Enjoying the sounds of the river and its’ surroundings, the views and vistas, and the learning process about the river all combine into one thoroughly fabulous adventure. We haven’t even gotten to the fishing yet! Our season generally begins in March and runs through November. However, fishing is good year round on the Bighorn!

We drove to the area to visit our son and returned with a new found love of fly fishing and new friends from the Bighorn River View Lodge and Cabins. November was the perfect time, when other lodges were closed for the season and the river wasn’t too busy for our amateur fishing. Cary and David were so hospitable, we loved the always open coffee bar and the home cooked meals were better than we get at home. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious. We hope to be back and give it 5 stars!

I was in town for work and happened to find this place by luck (So happy that I did). We had breakfast and dinner each day, and the food was amazing. The cabin was super comfy, and haven't slept that well in awhile. The owners were more than accommodating to all of our needs. I cant wait to go back when I don't have to work. The view is great and so are the hosts!!!!
